A brand new addition to our family of segregated funds!

The SSQ AlphaFixe Bond and Bank Loan GIF was added to our fund platform on June 18, 2018.

This fund is adapted to various interest rate environments and is noteworthy for its bank loan exposure. It provides an excellent alternative to traditional bond investment options in the current economic environment as well as a great alternative to GIAs.

This new bond fund is managed by AlphaFixe Capital, a dynamic investment management firm specializing in fixed income investments.

One of this fund’s main advantages is that it has a relatively short duration. In addition, some of its assets are held in variable income securities, thus reducing interest rate sensitivity by nearly 60%. This feature is highly advantageous in a rising interest rate environment and provides a good measure of protection against inflation.

 

 

New application forms and Information Folder and Contract

The Information Folder and Contract, the application forms (FRA641 and FRA1251) and the SSQ Guaranteed Investment Funds Summary (DRA719) have been updated with the new fund information and must be used as of June 18, 2018.
